The School of Education at the University of Michigan seeks two colleagues for tenure-track appointments (open rank) in educational leadership and policy. Both appointments will be in the Educational Studies department, a department that centers the simultaneous pursuit of educational excellence, diversity, inclusion, justice, and equity.
● For one appointment, we seek applications from a diverse pool of scholars who strongly focus on PreK-12 educational improvement—specifically, scholars whose research has examined the organization of classrooms, schools, and systems in the pursuit of excellence and equity in students’ educational opportunities and outcomes.
● For the other appointment, we seek applications from a diverse pool of scholars who strongly focus on leveraging educational policy to redress systemic racial injustices experienced by children, youth, and communities.

Candidates are asked to submit a cover letter; a curriculum vitae; research, teaching, and diversity statements; two publications that demonstrate scholarly accomplishment in their area of research; and the names of four professional references. Early career scholars may consider submitting conference papers, manuscripts under review, reports, or other examples of scholarly work.
