The Department of Economics invites applications to fill a full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position as Professor of the Practice in finance to hold the B.L.R. Professorship. The position involves multi-year, renewable term contract starting in September 2022. The Department is looking for a finance professional with an interest in teaching primarily undergraduate students in areas such as basic financial market theory and practice, real estate finance, consumer finance, banking, and entrepreneurship. The emerging area of socially responsible investing is also of interest. The teaching load will be four courses per year. The position entails directing the Tufts Finance Initiative, developing educational programs and lectures on finance-related topics, and mentoring and advising students on internship and career opportunities. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or MBA or equivalent degree and a demonstrated record of achievement and practical experience in the field of financial economics, financial markets, and related areas, along with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
