Economics Profession

Some JEP articles recommended for classroom use

The JEP publishes articles about the economic profession on a semiregular basis, on topics including career paths, grading issues, and diversity. We don’t necessarily think of these articles as obvious choices for classroom use, but some of them were mentioned as useful for showing how economists discuss topics of interest to students, such as grading, or for giving students a sense of what the profession of economics is like."
